About Spark Plug Replacement
What does the spark plugs do? Sparks plugs play an important role in the overall operation of your vehicleäóťs engine. The number of spark plugs in your engine depends on the number of cylinders it has. When you turn the ignition, it not only sends power to the starter to turn the flywheel and start the pistons, crankshaft, etc. It also sends voltage to your ignition coil, then through the wires to your spark plugs. Your spark plugs take that energy to generate a spark that ignites the fuel-air mixture in the cylinder. The spark plugs are constantly generating a spark as the vehicle is running and as the pistons compress when the fuel and air are mixed. If a spark plug is not functioning properly, it will cause the vehicle to run rough. How do you know you need your spark plugs replaced? Engine light is on Engine is misfiring vehicle is running rough issues starting the vehicle poor fuel economy How is the spark plugs replaced by a mobile mechanic? Your spark plugs ignite the air fuel mixture entering the engine. If they are not running at their maximum level it will affect the vehicleäóťs operation. When replacing the spark plugs with your tune up, we recommend replacing your wiring harness also known as the ignition wires which carries the voltage to the spark plugs.
