What is the steering column? The steering wheel is connected to the steering box or rack and pinion steering system by the steering column and allows the driver to turn the wheel with ease. Many functions such as a shifter handl? turn signa? wiper activation handl? a button for hazard light? a tilt lever to move the steering column up or down and a horn feature are attached to the steering column.
